Darkness gives way into light, multicolor splotches raining down onto the previously invisible figures on stage, each dressed distinctively so as to stand out in a world of nobodies. A ring of cymbals accompanies a slowly starting drumbeat, dancing along with a deep bassline that pulls you in and never lets you go. Guitar assaults your ears and yet you only want more of it, and deft fingers deliver, setting off a riff the likes of which would send angels running. But Heaven is on stage tonight, and this is confirmed as a voice washes over the crowd, awe-inspiring, like the voice of God himself. It's your voice.
